Castle Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center is looking for a strong, dedicated, and hard‑working DON who can support our nursing staff. The Director of Nursing (DON) plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Nursing department to ensure the highest degree of quality patient care in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

• Leadership and Administration
  • Provide visionary leadership to the nursing department, setting goals and strategies for achieving exceptional patient care.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Manage and allocate nursing resources, including staffing, budgeting, and equipment procurement.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare leaders to drive organizational goals and foster a culture of teamwork and excellence.
• Clinical Oversight
  • Ensure that nursing staff deliver high‑quality care and adhere to established standards and guidelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and nursing performance, making necessary improvements.
  • Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on advances in nursing practice and technology to facilitate evidence‑based care.
• Staff Development
  • Train and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to ensure a competent and motivated nursing team.
  • Promote ongoing education and certification for nursing staff to maintain and enhance skills.
• Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and licensure requirements.
  • Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and surveys, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
• Patient Advocacy and Communication
  • Serve as an advocate for patients, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information and support.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and transitions.
