Job Opportunity – Burn and Reconstructive Care Nurse – Texas

Start Date: January 7, 2026
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day or Night shift available; every other weekend; no on-call

Highlights:

• 22-bed Burn and Reconstructive Care Unit with diverse patient population including stroke and cardiac patients in PCU status
• Manageable nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
• Collaborative team environment with Free Float Charge Nurse, RNs, and PCTs on each shift
• EMR system:
  Meditech
• Floating to PCU/Telemetry/Med-Surg zones as needed
• Standard equipment and dressing change procedures

Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license or compact state license with ability to obtain Texas licensure
• BLS certification (current and valid)
• Experience caring for burn and reconstructive patients preferred
• Ability to care for off-service patients in PCU status, including stroke and cardiac populations
• Independent, self-motivated work style
