Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (no temporary licenses)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

• Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred

• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to laboring mothers and newborns

• Monitor fetal well-being using advanced fetal monitoring techniques

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including unit clerks and OR techs available 24/7

• Document patient care using Meditech/CPN systems

• Follow hospital policies, including floating guidelines and dress code (navy scrubs, professional appearance)

• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and families
