Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for Primary Care Clinic

Marcos Medical Care is currently seeking a full‑time Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our busy and established Internal Medicine clinic in the Stone Oak area of North San Antonio, Texas.

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and the physician’s instructions.
• Conducts therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and provides continuity‑of‑care instructions.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth, and health maintenance.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
• Records physical findings and formulates the plan and prognosis based on the patient’s condition.
• Collaborates with the physician to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan when necessary.
• Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
• Refers patients to the physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
• Maintains medical records and performs other duties as assigned.

• At least one year of clinical experience as a PA/NP in internal medicine, family practice, urgent care, or emergency department settings (strongly preferred).
• Licensed in the State of Texas.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.
