Job Summary
Join CHRISTUS Health as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN). Provide critical and complex nursing care in a 24‑hour environment.
Responsibilities- Meet oneCHRISTUS
Competencies:
Leader of Self, Others or Leaders. - Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side‑effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers; identify issues and resources.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- RN license in state of employment or compact.
- All new RN hires attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days.
- New hires are precepted by a trained staff member and complete critical care competency validation.
- Complete all annual competency verification requirements.
