Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department’s requirements and standards of practice. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models. The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and supports the organization’s vision and values to enhance patient outcomes and experience.

• Performs procedures and monitors as ordered by the medical provider. Documents care in the patient record in a timely, thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, status, treatment plan, medications and side effects, and follow-up measures; translates medical terminology for understanding.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepares for future self-management.
• Maintains evidence-based practices and participates in quality improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver a holistic treatment plan that supports recovery.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Critical Care experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• RN – Registered Nurse (RN).
• RN Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Associate Degree in Nursing.
