Description
Responsible for supporting connecting the organization with individuals, businesses, and supporters, and cultivating them to Volunteer programs for Morgan’s MAC (Multi-Assistance Center); providing orientation to those wanting to collaborate or be a part of Morgan’s MAC’s volunteer opportunities which includes community partners and individuals with special health care needs.

- Education:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. - Experience:
- Two years’ experience working with volunteers and outreach activities
- Minimum one year of working with and/or interacting with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and networking conferencing software.
- Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a close team environment.
- Ability to interact with funders, grantors, board members, visitors, and fellow employees in a responsible, courteous manner to ensure a positive and professional environment.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
- Bilingual preferred
Volunteer Program Development & Management
- Design and implement structured volunteer programs aligned with Morgan’s MAC’s goals.
- Develop volunteer role descriptions and expectations for various departments and events.
- Create and maintain a volunteer handbook and training materials.
- Utilize volunteer management system (Give Pulse or similar) to manage volunteer registration, scheduling, hours tracking, and reporting.
Recruitment & Retention
- Conduct targeted outreach to schools, universities, corporations, faith-based groups, and civic organizations.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all volunteers.
- Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions through appreciation events, awards, and communications.
- Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions to improve volunteer satisfaction and performance.
- Maintain consistent communication via newsletters, emails, and social media updates.
- Develop marketing materials to attract diverse volunteer groups.
- Maintain a pipeline of potential volunteers through ongoing engagement and follow-up.
Training & Onboarding
- Coordinate and lead volunteer orientations of Morgan’s MAC for prospective volunteers.
- Provide role-specific training and ensure volunteers understand safety protocols and expectations.
- Develop accessible training formats (e.g., in-person, virtual, bilingual) to accommodate diverse needs.
Data & Reporting
- Track volunteer metrics including hours served, retention rates, and program impact.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- Use data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform strategic improvements.

- Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
