Due to a growing market, RGE Group is investing in a brand‑new manufacturing site and technical sales office in San Antonio, Texas. RGE Group will offer manufacturing, tooling and delivery of products to North American markets. The advantages of onshoring are shorter lead times and giving clients more effective control of their supply chain while also delivering the best value and technical expertise.

This role is a critical one, contributing to shaping and growing the new venture within a well‑established company.

As a full‑service company, we offer design, printing, welding and assembly services alongside our injection moulding, tooling and product development services, saving customer’s money and increasing the project’s efficiency at the same time.

Job Purpose

To be responsible for managing and motivating the operational departments of RGE Texas.

To carry out the business plan for growth and profitability of this business site.

To support all production activities and to facilitate the ongoing manufacturing excellence at RGE Texas facilities.

Work with Group Directors to manage the budget and cashflow for USA production sites and ensure the company hits its production targets and business KPI’s.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • The direct management of the head of each of the following departments – production, setting department, technical department, and overall efficiency and production control.
  • The main responsible person on site and be on call for any shift work issues or other unexpected items.
  • Understand the underlying performance of the moldshop and make changes to hit production output targets in efficiency, cost and service level including quality and delivery performance.
  • Support customer visits internally and externally.
  • To support internal improvements to strive for better working practise, material handling, labour efficiency, service levels, health and safety improvements and efficiency of the company measured as OEE.
  • Find practical solutions for human resource improvements and production problems.
  • To ensure there is adequate retraining of existing and new staff to ensure the longevity of the department.
  • To manage the budget of the production operations.
  • To hold regular meetings with each of the departments to ensure all projects, tooling and improvement projects are hitting targets.
  • Produce weekly report to UK head office summarising sales, profit margin, production issues and stock report.
  • Undertake any other duties as necessary to fulfil the needs of the job and its objectives as and when required by the directors.
  • To visit any of the sites as and when needed.
  • Any other business as and when it is necessary for the role involved.
  • To comply with all Health and Safety at Work requirements as determined by company policy and work to continuously improve the working environment and wellbeing of all employees and sub‑contractors.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Experience in Plastic Injection Molding manufacturing a plus.
    • Experience in running process and batch production.
    • Systems proficient – training will be given on specific systems but a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) is required.
    • Health and Safety, COSH and ISO 9001, lean manufacturing knowledge.
    • Great communications across all departments.
    • Flexibility, adaptable and a can‑do attitude.
