MQT Specialist

The MQT (Manufacturing Quality Technician) Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all product made at the San Antonio manufacturing facility adheres to the quality standards established by the customer as well as auditing quality system functions and support training functions.

• Responsible for all MQT duties as described in the MQT (Manufacturing Quality Technician) Job Description.
• Make rounds at the beginning of each shift to all MQT’s and IPI’s, inspecting work being done as well as documentation checks on all presses. Ensuring that all MQT’s and IPI’s are trained and executing proper work performance and following GW policies and procedures, reporting any discrepancies to supervisor on duty.
• Review the reports from the previous MQT Specialist to determine training needs.
• Work with shift Supervisor to provide and document training to new MQT’s and IPI’s.
• Document production of the shift through the use of the MQT Specialist Checklist and MQT Specialist Exceptions Report.
• Support GP12 functions.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Molding Technician.
• Strive to be a contributive and supportive member of our GW Plastics San Antonio organization, displaying a cooperative and positive attitude towards our Company, including its policies & procedures, and employees.

• One year experience as MQT, required.
• Good communication skills, required.
• Gage Training desired.
• SPC training and/or experience in working with SPC, preferred.
• Flexibility to work on different shifts, preferred.
