You may also fabricate and modify components to repair machine tools or support other projects, applying your knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

What

YOU Will Do
  • Repair, modify, and fabricate aircraft parts using specialized tooling and ground support equipment.
  • Follow oral and written instructions, including supervisor directives and manuals.
  • Maintain and store various tools in serviceable condition.
  • Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area.
  • Maintain personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Training Department.
  • Successfully complete any courses deemed necessary by the Training Department.
  • Perform any work assigned by your supervisor.
What YOU Need
  • Knowledge of machining and fabricating metal parts using manual mills and lathes.
  • Understanding of metal properties, safety procedures, and operation of mills, lathes, drill press, and saws.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft manuals, ATA codes, and applicable FAA regulations.
  • Familiarity with company policies, paperwork procedures, and work sign‑off processes.
  • Ability to work under immediate direction and follow detailed instructions.
  • Moderate interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with co‑workers and supervisors.
  • Physical ability to stand for 90% of the workday, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in varying environments.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • A&P License desired or specialized training preferred.
  • One year minimum experience machining.
