Our NOV Fiber Glass Systems San Antonio facility is seeking to hire a Quality Control (QC) Technician I to join our dynamic night shift team! The QC Technician will be responsible for performing quality control inspection activities, to ensure the compliance of in-process products and finished goods with industry standards, while adhering to NOV policies, procedures and customer requirements.
Responsibilities- Understanding of quality concepts in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and similar equipment
- Inspect, reject or accept product according to visual standard, weight, tally and other Q.C. requirements
- Documentation and recordkeeping
- Control the removal of monogram from non-conforming product
- Wear appropriate PPE
- Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
- Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
- Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Factory environment with large range in temperature changes
- Standing, walking, & Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
- Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly
- Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
- Dependability/Attendance
- Detail oriented
- Ability to accurately use scales, OD tape, ruler, thread height gauge
- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
- Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures

- Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations

Education Required:
High School/GED - :
Technician - Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Three years of verifiable work experience, preferred in manufacturing environment;
Travel less than 10%;
Trained into API Q1 and ISO 9001;
