• Ensure material availability by reviewing production schedules and coordinating with departments to requisition, transfer, or locate required or overdue materials.
• Arrange in‑plant transfers and deliveries based on job order priorities and material availability.
• Monitor movement of materials via conveyor systems, barcode scanners, and tracking systems.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, tow motors, and other material handling equipment.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments, inspect deliveries, verify quantities, and report discrepancies or damages.
• Maintain accurate records of material transactions, inventory, and production statuses using manual or computerized systems.
• Fabricate special shipping containers and perform rough/non‑angular cutting of materials (e.g., tubing).
• Stock, issue, and consolidate parts, hazardous material kits, and tool kits as required.
• Prepare materials for storage and transport per company and customer specifications.
• Participate in physical inventories, identify material degradation/damage, and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Analyze production and material requirements to resolve shortages, delays, and configuration issues.
• Drive company vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to transport materials across facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness, tool control, and safety compliance in all work areas.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clearance: Must be eligible to handle Government property; prior DoD/government contract experience preferred.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years using computer‑based inventory or warehouse management systems.
  • 2–3 years working with stockroom/crib procedures.
  • 1+ year managing Government property (Acquisition, Receiving, Movement, Disposal, Physical Inventory, Contract Closeout, etc.).

  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient with material tracking systems, barcoding equipment, and basic warehouse software.
  • Skilled in use of material handling tools and equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, hoists).
• Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift 35 lbs unassisted; occasional team lifts >50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, overhead reaching, and ladder use.
  • Work in confined spaces and on elevated platforms.
  • Use of PPE as required.
  • Must pass visual acuity and color vision tests.
  • Exposure to noise, metals, and hazardous materials.
• Schedule:
  • Must be available for rotating shifts and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
  • On‑site work required.
