Overview
JCB North America is developing its second largest plant on a 400‑acre site in San Antonio, Texas. The 1‑million sq. ft. facility will begin production of Loadall telescopic handlers and aerial access equipment in 2026, with the capacity to expand to other product lines and create 1,500 jobs over five years.
Position SummaryThis role plans and regulates machine parts inventory, ensuring daily production runs occur without incident. The individual assists Production Control and Manufacturing management to meet daily targets by forecasting demand, managing suppliers, and building strong relationships with JCB North America’s vendors.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities- Plan part parameters to meet corporate inventory goals
- Coordinate a large number of suppliers and vendors
- Manage daily volume of parts
- Monitor supplier performance for timely shipping
- Liaise with other areas to resolve supplier/material issues
- Expedite parts due to inventory loss, quality rejects, misuse, etc.
- Coordinate and follow up purchase orders
- Monitor delivery schedules and review orders
- Monitor production rates, raw material prices, contact vendors and check inventories
- Manage inventory levels, schedules and availability to meet production schedules
- Analyze and resolve scheduling issues that cause production delays
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, purchasing department and supervisors on material status and planning issues
- Keep up with demand, forecast needs to meet deadlines and goals
- Determine inventory levels to limit overstock issues in the production area
- Conduct periodic inventory checks
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control, planning or expediting for a manufacturing facility
- Must pass drug screens, background checks and pre‑employment tests as applicable
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 3 years of experience in inventory control, planning or expediting for a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Work well with minimal supervision
- Good analytical skills
- Strong problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to monitor and control delivery of production parts throughout the supply chain for 40 to 60 suppliers representing 1,200 part numbers
- React proactively to parts shortages to ensure uninterrupted production of machines to customers
- Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
- Subject to noise and temperature changes
- Sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Occasionally stand and walk.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
