Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
The Program Manager - Senior - is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of programs and projects to ensure the achievement of program area goals. This role involves strategic planning, relationship management, resource allocation, and operational oversight to drive success in program MEDIA execution.
ResponsibilitiesProgram Development and Oversight:
Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs to meet organizational objectives. Establish infrastructure, systems, and workflows to support program goals and ensure operational excellence.
Operational Efficiency and Goal Alignment:
Collaborate with leadership to assess and subj productivity, efficiency, and performance across program operations. Develop and manage project workflows and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, subject matter experts, and partners. Represent the program/organization in high-level meetings and collaborations.
Budget and Resource Management:
Work with financial teams to oversee multiple project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure resources are allocated effectively. Identify and manage relationships with vendors and service providers to support program needs.
Technology and Innovation:
Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies relevant to program development and management. Evaluate and implement tools and platforms that enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.
Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of program progress and outcomes. Prepare reports for leadership, grantors, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with organizational and contractual requirements.
Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor a diverse team, providing guidance and support to ensure employee growth and retention. Oversee hiring, training, performance evaluation, and resolution of employee issues.
Cross-Program
Collaboration:
Facilitate collaboration across other program areas within the university to ensure alignment and effective resource sharing. Serve as a representative of senior leadership in internal and external initiatives.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Perform additional duties to support organizational goals and initiatives as needed.
- Knowledge of and experience with project/program management, including Department of Defense (DoD) or VA programs, contract management, proposals/grants, and compliance (research, regulatory, federal/DoD).
Demonstrated ability to work with IRB and other regulatory and agency/department management.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Ability to coordinate the diverse components of a project by quality project planning, execution and change control to achieve required balance of time, cost, quality and results.
Lead and collaborate in team-oriented and goal focused environment.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) to Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience is required.
