Position:Chief Engineer
The Chief Engineer will lead and oversee a comprehensive facility operations & maintenance program at the contract site, fostering a strong partnership with the Client. Ensure all contractual obligations are met, while developing and supervising the contractor's on‑site team and subcontractors.

- Direct Supervision:
Lead the O&M Team, managing building systems, equipment, tools, supplies, service requests, contracts, and daily activities. - Maintenance & Repairs:
Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance, repairs, and subcontracted services for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Conduct daily inspections, assessing service needs and quality of work. - Compliance & Regulations:
Ensure adherence to local, building, and Client requirements for systems like fire suppression, HVAC (if qualified), and backflow prevention. - Documentation & Records:
Maintain accurate blueprints, parts lists, manuals, and records, including NCMMS data. - Operational Efficiency:
Manage MEP system operation, ensuring safety, efficiency, and order through equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement. - Scheduling & Coordination:
Oversee the maintenance and repair schedule for employees and subcontractors, managing the O&M Team's daily work schedule. - Emergency Response:
Implement and manage responses to service requests, emergencies (indoor air quality, power outages, accidents, etc.), and Client events. - Inventory & Procurement:
Maintain an optimal supply inventory, initiating purchase orders for necessary items. - Subcontractor Management:
Coordinate and manage qualified subcontractors for specialty work within the contract scope. - Safety & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to Client policies, regulations, and safety protocols, implementing the safety program and training on‑site staff. - Client Relationships:
Build and maintain positive relationships with Client personnel, visitors, and occupants. - Reporting & Communication:
Interface with Client administrators, ensuring contract compliance and providing accurate, timely reports. - Building Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections of various building systems, identifying and reporting issues with recommendations for corrective action. - Where required by applicable client contract, employees must be able to respond to occasional after‑hours emergency calls.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Employee may be subject to hazards including but not limited to repetitive movement, chemicals, noisy environments, hot & cold environments.
- Employee must be able to lift heavy items up to 75 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
- Employee may be required to use step stools, ladders, and mobile work platforms in the performance of their duties.
- Extensive experience in facility maintenance and management.
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience directing operation and maintenance of equipment in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of building systems, HVAC equipment, and related technologies.
- Refrigeration and / or Air Conditioning Operators License and a Universal Refrigerant Certification as per 40 CFR 82 subpart
