The Senior Program Manager oversees the daily operations and logistics of major professional training programs, including Cybersecurity, Human Resources, and other business‑related fields. The role coordinates scheduling, programming, budgeting, staff management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure quality, timely delivery, and continuous improvement of program offerings.
Core Responsibilities- Develops and manages program scheduling and special events.
- Manages production of program materials, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
- Collaborates with teaching faculty to revise curriculum and update student materials and online courses.
- Works with supervisors on new program initiatives to ensure efficient operations.
- Coordinates program agreements among the department/college, faculty, corporate clients, and students.
- Assists leadership in submitting proposals to corporate clients for executive and corporate program development.
- Creates and handles program budgets, purchases, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Manages staff for program operations and logistics.
- Conducts semester‑based information sessions, follows up with prospective students, and tracks conversion rates.
- Represents the department at programs, conferences, and membership associations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Six (6) years of experience in program management.
- Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio’s infrastructure.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as the Canvas platform.
- Diplomacy, judgment, and tact in dealing with others.
- Independent decision‑making and problem‑solving ability.
- Capacity to develop and implement goals aligned with the program’s mission.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of program management techniques and methods.
- Office environment.
- Occasional after‑hours, weekend work, or overtime may be required.
- Travel to meetings, training sessions, or other business events as needed.
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time; occasional walking and standing.
- Exertion of up to 30 lbs of force occasionally.
This position will work both on campus and remotely in Texas. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility. The position is contingent upon a successful background check, verification of a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) as applicable, and proof of eligibility to work in the United States by the time of hire.
