State & Local Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced State & Local Tax Manager to lead sales and use tax consulting and compliance engagements while supporting the growth of our tax practice. This role involves managing complex client projects, serving as the primary client contact, and delivering high-quality advisory services. The Tax Manager will supervise and mentor a team of professionals, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and career development.

• Oversee sales and use tax compliance, planning, and advisory work.
• Stay current on state and local tax legislation.
• Develop strategies to optimize client tax positions and mitigate risk.
• Ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
• Support business development efforts, including expanding client relationships and contributing to thought leadership and industry presentations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate tax strategies into broader business solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 8+ years of state and local tax experience.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.
• Deep technical knowledge of SALT laws.
• CMI certification is a plus.
