JOB SUMMARY:

Maintains the cleanliness of the federal installation and the surrounding grounds to meet customer and client satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ability to perform major janitorial cleaning tasks such as vacuuming (using a 25lb. vacuum daily for 3 to 4 hours), wet mopping, sweeping, dusting, and emptying the trash (lifting wastepaper and debris-minimum of 55lbs.)

• Cleans and disinfects drinking fountains, and restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: Urinals, Toilets, Sinks, Mirrors, Partitions, and Counters).
• Fills dispensers and stocking supplies in restrooms.
• Wash Windows and Sill (Door Glass).
• Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as necessary to meet events and facility schedules.
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs frequently, as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift.
• Performs other related duties as required.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

Receives supervision from the Shift Supervisor. The position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment. Works standing and walking for prolonged periods of time while cleaning and/or sanitizing the work area.
• Steps, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties such as heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects up to 55 pounds.
• Physical work is a primary part of the job.
• The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:

This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes:
Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must possess 2 to 3 years of experience in the janitorial industry.

Must pass a background check.
