Overview
JOB SUMMARY:
Maintains the cleanliness of the federal installation and the surrounding grounds to meet customer and client satisfaction.
Ability to perform major janitorial cleaning tasks such as vacuuming (using a 25lb. vacuum daily for 3 to 4 hours), wet mopping, sweeping, dusting, and emptying the trash (lifting wastepaper and debris - minimum of 55lbs.).
- Cleans and disinfects drinking fountains, and restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: Urinals, Toilets, Sinks, Mirrors, Partitions, and Counters).
- Fills dispensers and stocking supplies in restrooms.
- Wash Windows and Sill (Door Glass).
- Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as necessary to meet events and facility schedules.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs frequently, as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Receives supervision from the Shift Supervisor. The position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
Working Conditions- The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment. Works standing and walking for prolonged periods of time while cleaning and/or sanitizing the work area.
- Steps, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties such as heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects up to 55 pounds.
- Physical work is a primary part of the job.
- The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes:
Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess 2 to 3 years of experience in the janitorial industry.
Must pass a background check.

- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Effective grooming skills.
- Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
- Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.
- Valid Texas Drivers’ License Class
C.
