Job OverviewOur law firm has a full‑time associate attorney position available now. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior associates and provide legal counsel to existing clients. Responsibilities- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, settlement agreements, orders for contract negotiations and court proceedings.
- Conduct legal research, prepare for, and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel under the direction of senior associate attorneys.
- Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on potential resolutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
- Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
- Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up‑to‑date information is readily available for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
- Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base.
- Outstanding and effective communication and problem‑solving skills to work with clients, staff members, and senior attorneys.
- Demonstrated interviewing skills to ask the right questions and gather complete information for a thorough understanding of claims.
- Excellent research, analytical, verbal, and writing skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a high‑volume plenamente caseload in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional time‑management and organizational skills.
- Professionalism, strong work ethic, and a sense of compassion.
- Must be a team‑player, positive, motivated, and organized.
- Commitment to professional excellence, continuous self‑improvement, and a desire to learn.
- Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus database and document management systems.
