CNO Vulnerability Research Expert

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented CNO Vulnerability Research Expert to join our team in San Antonio, TX
. In this role, you will support critical national security missions by identifying and analyzing software vulnerabilities, developing innovative solutions, and collaborating with a highly skilled cyber team to advance offensive and defensive capabilities.

• Researching and discovering software vulnerabilities across multiple platforms and environments
• Reverse engineering software to identify security weaknesses and develop mechanism bypasses
• Performing as a team lead on projects when appropriate, providing technical guidance and mentorship
• Managing the design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of user land and kernel software and systems
• Researching and maintaining proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and emerging trends in computer network vulnerabilities, static and dynamic program analysis, network security, and encryption
• Communicating project status, findings, and risk considerations with leadership and customers

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in vulnerability research
• Experience in reverse engineering and common security research tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare, Binary Ninja, Sys Internals, GDB, WinDBG)
• Experience in Python, C/C++, and Assembly (x86/x64) programming
• CNO capability development experience
• Proficiency with low-level internals in one or more technology areas (e.g., Windows, Linux, Mobile)
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging

• Experience managing or leading teams
• Experience developing fuzzers and static analysis tools
• Experience with modern security system features
• Experience using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible)
• Experience applying Agile Scrum methodologies
• Experience mentoring junior vulnerability researchers

• Must have a current/active Secret clearance

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
