On behalf of our Energy client, Procom is searching for a NOC Technician for a contract 18-month role. This position is an onsite position at our client's San Antonio, Texas office. No sponsorship is available.
NOC Technician - Job Description:
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician is responsible for 24x7x365 monitoring and support of enterprise systems, infrastructure, and critical business applications. This role ensures system performance, availability, and timely incident response across the organization, acting as a central point of contact for after-hours IT operations.
NOC Technician - Responsibilities:
• Monitor enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure including servers, networks, firewalls, and telecom systems
• Respond to system alerts and incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate to appropriate support teams
• Support monitoring and restart of file system backups and batch processing jobs
• Monitor and support SAP environments including CIS, FIS, HR, WMS, and AMI systems
• Provide after-hours and weekend service desk support for internal users
• Act as the central coordination point during system outages, maintenance windows, and major incidents
• Monitor data center environments across multiple locations
• Document incidents, actions taken, and escalation steps in accordance with procedures
• Coordinate with production control and technical support teams for critical alerts and issue resolution
• Support scheduled outages and maintenance activities
• Prepare and distribute daily and weekly operational reports
• Maintain current NOC procedures, escalation documentation, and on-call rosters
• Ensure continuous coverage and operational awareness across all shifts
NOC Technician - Mandatory Skills:
• Experience supporting or monitoring enterprise IT systems, networks, or infrastructure in a NOC or similar environment
• Ability to analyze system alerts and respond appropriately with escalation when needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow operational procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Ability to work in a 24x7 environment including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Comfortable working independently during long monitoring periods
NOC Technician - Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with IT Service Management tools such as Service Now
NOC Technician - Assignment Length:
This is a contract position for 18-months.
