Description
AWS is looking for fully cleared Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver and troubleshoot and solve a range of datacenter infrastructure issues including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and tracking capacity, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning.
- Lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds, working in cramped and/or elevated locations, bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, and standing/walking up to 8+ hours a day.
- Using ladders, stairs, gangways safely, working in noisy environments, and shift work longer than 8 hours, including night, day, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Trained in TI principles and OSI model to find solutions to problems and maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.
- Lifting or moving up to 49 pounds

- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Working in noisy, temperature-controlled environments
- Shift work up to 24/7 coverage
- Take ownership of technical issues, engaging other teams when needed.
- Show strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Resolve problems at root and step back to understand broader context.
- Maintain SLA through proactive issue detection and reporting.
- Act independently when direction is limited and innovate processes.

Basic Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent, or Network+, Security+, or other entry-level certifications.
- Current active US Government TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- A+, Network+, Security+, or other networking certifications.
