RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst II. This is an onsite position in San Antonio, TX. Local candidates are preferred.
Summary:
The Cyber Security Analyst II will support the company's IT Security Team within the Information Technology Services Department (ITSD). This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations-primarily CJIS Security Policy, HIPAA, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework-across five Criminal Justice and nine HIPAA-covered City departments.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting compliance assessments and risk analyses, supporting audits, remediating findings, and maintaining policy documentation
- Monitor regulatory changes, contribute to GRC process improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders from IT, legal, law enforcement, and healthcare to align technical controls with policies
- Developing and delivering training on data privacy and compliance is also expected
- 3-5 years of experience in compliance, information security, or GRC, ideally in government, criminal justice, or healthcare
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- CJIS Security Policy (v5.9+)
- HIPAA 45 CFR SS160, 162, 164 & Texas Health and Safety Code S181
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
- Experience in audits, corrective action plans, and strong technical writing skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- Certifications such as CISSP, CIPP/US or CIPP/G, CRISC, CISM, or HCISPP
- Experience with public sector, law enforcement, or healthcare
- Familiarity with GRC and audit management tools
