NOC Operator – Apex Systems

Contract Length: 6 months |
Location: Onsite, San Antonio, TX |
Shift: Rotating (Friday–Tuesday 6 AM–2:30 PM; Friday–Tuesday 2 PM–10:30 PM, rotating every quarter)
Compensation: $24–26 /hr, paid weekly with optional benefits.
Job Responsibilities- Provide 24/7 1st‑level support for Windows, UNIX, VMware, and networking equipment.
- Monitor network circuits, servers, telecommunications, and data‑center equipment for maximum uptime.
- Resolve incidents to avoid third‑level escalation, documenting tickets clearly for tech staff.
- Create and track vendor service calls; coordinate功能 with external vendors when outages occur.
- Run production jobs, manage job architecture, and provide feature recommendations for production jobs.
- Schedule, release, and run production jobs and manage output (tapes, reports, optical, etc.).
- Develop templates and message filters; add, modify, and delete objects in monitoring tools.
- Ensure critical data backups are taken and all jobs run successfully.
- Follow up on noted problems to confirm timely resolution.
- Collaborate with technical analysts to resolve problems over the phone and reduce onsite visits.
- Perform other tasks as required to ensure information integrity, reliability, and availability.
- Intermediate experience (3–5 years) in NOC, enterprise service desk, helpdesk, or server/desktop support.
- Proficiency with Windows Server 2012/2016 and later.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Open Text OBM, NNMi, SCOM, or similar.
- Knowledge of Open Text Service Manager or equivalent service‑management software.
- Familiarity with VMware, network circuits, and backup systems is a plus.
