Technical Director of IT Network Services

Location: San Antonio, Texas-Based, Hybrid (On-site)

Term: Direct Hire

Salary: $160,000 annually

• Seeking an experienced Director of IT Network Services to lead its network and telecommunications operations. This strategic leadership position oversees infrastructure and applications that support enterprise data networks, perimeter security, telephony, video services, and auxiliary systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership, and innovation to ensure enterprise-wide stability, security, and scalability.
• Key Responsibilities Lead the network and telecommunications team, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and operational oversight.
• Design and maintain secure, cost-effective, and compliant network environments.
• Drive infrastructure innovation to ensure high availability, performance, and resilience.
• Collaborate across IT teams to provide input on strategic planning, budgets, and service capacity.
• Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring accountability, performance, and adherence to service standards.
• Develop and implement automated incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Serve as a technical advisor to executive leadership, providing expert guidance and recommendations.

• Deep understanding of L2/L3 protocols, including TCP/IP (v4 & v6), EIGRP, OSPF, QoS, and BGP
  .
• Expert knowledge of firewall and VPN concepts
  .
• Strong experience with telephony protocols (H323 and SIP).
• Proven understanding of security principles such as authentication, authorization, access control, confidentiality, and integrity
  .
• Experience in risk and impact assessments and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CCNP preferred; CCDP a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Services, or a related field preferred.
