Role Overview

The Senior IT Project Manager will lead and deliver complex Service Now development and implementation projects within scope, time, and budget. This role requires strong expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM), Agile methodologies, and PMP standards, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and Service Now best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership:
    Plan, execute, and oversee Service Now development projects from initiation to deployment, ensuring alignment with ITSM processes.
  • Agile Delivery:
    Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) for Service Now development teams and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, Service Now developers, and cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and manage expectations.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
    Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to platform customization, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Budget & Resource Management:
    Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for Service Now initiatives.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    Maintain project documentation, ensure adherence to organizational policies, and align with Service Now governance standards.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Drive process optimization and implement best practices for Service Now development and delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 7‑10 years in IT project management, with at least 3‑5 years managing Service Now development or ITSM projects.
  • Certifications:

    PMP and Agile certifications (CSM, PMI‑ACP, or SAFe). Service Now certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Implementation Specialist) highly preferred.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Strong understanding of Service Now platform capabilities (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, workflows). Proficiency in project management tools like Jira, MS Project, Confluence. Familiarity with integration technologies and APIs.
  • Soft Skills:

    Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Service Now upgrades, custom application development, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and Service Now governance.
  • Ability to manage globally distributed development teams and multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
