Sr Cloud Security Architect – Google Cloud Platform

• Serve as an SME for cloud security, providing guidance on industry best practices and defense‑in‑depth strategies.
• Collaborate with project teams to measure testing and evaluation of new solutions, ensuring satisfaction of security requirements.
• Work with internal IS teams to design security controls and improve cloud security infrastructure.
• Create best‑of‑class security architecture designs and patterns using defensible industry reference architectures.
• Measure and design tests of cloud configs and infrastructure for vulnerabilities and security‑relevant defects.
• Ensure all cloud infrastructure designs and implementations follow security & compliance control requirements, resolving gaps through collaboration.
• Design, develop, document, automate, and implement security infrastructure in code.
• Create and maintain security architecture specifications and design documentation.
• Support setting the strategic security direction and approach for utilizing cloud‑relevant technologies.

• 7+ years of experience designing and implementing complex solutions in medium‑to‑large enterprises.
• 5+ years building and integrating systems in public or hybrid cloud environments.
• 3+ years of experience in information security.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and security tools offered by the platform.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Cloud Formation, Azure ARM Template, Pulumi, or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of web applications, web servers, application firewalls, frameworks, and protocols in cloud deployment.
• Proficiency with cloud resources such as virtual networking, access controls, load balancing, API gateways, service meshes, serverless functions, storage buffers, containers, and shared storage.
• Knowledge of information security controls, guidelines and standards (ISO
  27000 series, OWASP, CSA CCM, CIS 20, SOC 2, NIST).
• Basic understanding of privacy and data protection regulations (PCI DSS, HIPAA/HITECH).
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, JavaScript, Power Shell, Perl, or Unix shell scripting.
• Proficiency with secrets management and vaulting technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile and other project methodologies.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure.
• Familiarity with CSPM/CNAPP.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Professional security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CEH, GIAC) and cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with cloud security tools for discovery, compliance, and vulnerability detection.
