The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD) is looking for a full-time Information Technology Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/APPSW), serving as a Senior Digital Services Specialist, GG-2210-13 to work for Platform One as the Information Technology Specialist (Party Bus Value Stream Deputy) under the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at JB San Antonio – Lackland (Administrative Office Location), Texas.

Salary Range: $132,751 - $181,428 based on experience.

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.

In this position you will serve as the Information Technology Specialist (Party Bus Value Stream Deputy) to support the development of digital service capabilities, including cyber security, cloud, platform operations, software development, and AI, while overseeing acquisition efforts. You will assist the Value Stream Lead by synchronizing efforts across five sub-teams, six labor contracts, a multitude of software licenses, a complex multi-tenant cloud platform, and managing product requirements for diverse user groups.

Additionally, you will utilize Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to maintain transparent status reporting and communicate priorities to stakeholders. In this role, you will also mentor team members on agile practices and participate in meetings as a technical advisor, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • This position is designated by the Air Force as a testing designated position under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program and is subject to random drug testing.
  • A strong understanding of different digital systems like software, cloud, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence – this is important for building and managing digital services. Proficiency in agile planning is necessary to manage complex technical initiatives.
  • The ability to explain goals and technical details clearly to different people, both in writing and in conversations – good communication is key for working with various teams and leaders.
  • Knowledge of how to analyze and work with new technology – this helps when figuring out if new tech ideas will work and how to fit them into current systems.
  • Knowledge of DoD and Air Force policies and procedures, guidelines, directives and techniques related to software and technology system platforms.
  • Ability to identify requirements for contracting and budget proposals for IT acquisitions.
  • This position is Acquisition Category IT, Level II and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.
  • This position requires information assurance (IA) work as an additional duty. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the recipient of this additional duty must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in the reassignment of this additional duty to another employee within the organization.
  • Employee is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
