IT Project Coordinator

Akkodis is seeking an IT Project Coordinator for a contract role with a client located in Houston, TX or San Antonio, TX. The IT Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects across their lifecycle. This role emphasizes hands‑on involvement in project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time, risks are managed, and stakeholders are informed. This position focuses on day‑to‑day project operations.

Pay Rate: Houston or San Antonio, TX: $44–$55 per hour

• Assist in planning and scheduling project activities, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document action items for follow‑up
• Track project progress, risks, and issues; elevate concerns as needed
• Maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk logs, and resource plans
• Support financial tracking and resource allocation under guidance from project leadership
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of tasks
• Facilitate communication between cross‑functional teams to resolve blockers quickly

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Project Management, or related field
• 2–5 years in IT project coordination or similar role
• Must have experience in supporting a Program Manager
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar)
• Certifications like CAPM or CSM are a plus
• Understanding of IT systems and infrastructure
• Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
