The OpportunityThe AI Finance Manager is a crucial role responsible for supporting the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the overall data management strategy for finance applications. The successful candidate will leverage deep expertise in finance applications (planning, reporting, close/consolidation) coupled with skills in enterprise data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, Machine Learning, and Generative AI (Gen AI) to support key finance personas.
One key responsibility is to develop and implement our EY AI Finance service offering, creating an industry‑agnostic data model that ensures data consistency and interoperability across finance applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with finance, IT, and data science teams to support effective management and utilization of finance application data, harnessing Machine Learning, Gen AI, and Azure data technologies.
- Lead delivery of complex technical initiatives, ensuring accountability for performance and results.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.
- Drive continuous process improvement by identifying innovative solutions through research and analysis.
- Foster relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services on budget and on time.
- Monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed.
- Effectively manage and motivate cross‑functional teams.
- Guide data management strategy execution and define data requirements, architecture, and models for finance applications.
- Lead design and implementation of an extensible common information model and supporting documentation.
- Stay current with advances in Machine Learning, Gen AI, Data Management, and Azure technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree and approximately five years of related work experience, or a graduate degree with four years of related experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data management, with at least 1 year focused on finance application data, data modeling, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management principles.
- Experience with Machine Learning techniques, Gen AI technologies, and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, MS SQL, Python).
- Knowledge of finance applications and financial modeling (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Proficiency in data integration, transformation, and modeling tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with relevant experience in finance data management, data modeling, and ML.
- Competitive base salary range $142,600 – $261,500 (plus regional adjustments).
