NETWORK ENGINEER (BAMCIT):
Bowhead seeks a Sr. Network Engineer to support the Geographic Service Providers (GSP) Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) IT Support Services directorate located in San Antonio, TX. The Military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) IT (Information Technology) division supports the continued management and administration of DHA systems, applications, networks, cybersecurity, and telecommunications services for the PEO MS/J-6 through contractor staff augmentation.

The Sr. Network Engineer is tasked with improving IT practices and mechanisms with consistent support to end users without degradation to local and DHA operations.

• Utilize the IT Service Management (ITSM) Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) v4, or latest version framework, to adequately provide end users consistent, available, and reliable IT services
• Rapidly resolve issues and mitigate risks impacting business operations
• Ensure administrative functions of the contract (timekeeping, reports, etc.) are filed with the contract leadership per policy
• Act as an on-site lead for all contractors in the branch as it pertains to these functions
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in network technologies and strategy for Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN)

• BA/BS degree in Computer Sciences, IT or business; experience can substitute degree requirements
• Ten (10) years of networking experience supporting LAN and WLAN activities
• Five (5) years of experience in a hospital supporting an environment with more than 100+ beds and military production network
• Designing and deploying a wireless network consisting of 1300+ wireless access points (WAPs)
• Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) training
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) level certification
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
