GovCIO is seeking a DB2 Database Administrator for our Courts proposal, located in San Antonio, TX.

• Perform data movement, troubleshoot issues, and write scripts for database tasks.
• Maintain complex databases regarding JCL, access methods, security, and documentation.
• Install, configure, migrate, restore, and monitor system security and performance.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on DBMS concepts.

• Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 database management and configuration.
• Experience with performance tuning, backup, recovery, and high availability setups.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Linux system administration.
• Ability to research and resolve technical issues independently.
• Mentoring skills and availability for occasional support outside regular hours.
• Basic scripting skills.
• Clearance:
  Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust.
