Sr Compensation Analyst

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for administering company compensation programs across geographically diverse operations. They evaluate and analyze salary data, recommend pay grades, and participate in compensation surveys. They ensure that pay adjustment requests comply with current compensation policy and contribute to complex projects. This position also ensures that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Reporting within the Total Employee Rewards Department, this position will be instrumental in delivering on our Employee Value Proposition.

Responsibilities
  • Provide creative solutions and ideas when supporting the enterprise with compensation processes and procedures to support attraction and retention strategies that are consistent within a culture which values the whole employee.
  • Participate in market salary surveys, including job matching, data input, results analysis and reporting. Include base salaries, bonuses, and long-term incentives. Analyze information to ensure competitiveness.
  • Manage position information, including job descriptions, titles, occupation codes, rate codes, and assignment to appropriate salary grades based on market and internal data. Maintain files, records, and programs to capture, report, and analyze compensation data.
  • Administer salary administration processes, including annual merit review, out-of-cycle increases, promotions, and adjustments.
  • Provide advice and counsel to management regarding salary and incentive plan issues, including policy and guideline interpretation, new hire offers, internal equity, severance, and market adjustments.
  • Stay apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compensation or employee relations.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills as well as good presentation skills.
  • Values ethics, professionalism, and maintains a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to build and foster strong, productive working relationships.
  • Detail oriented, coupled with the ability to work well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCP certification.
  • SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience in other Human Resources functions such as employment, benefits, training, etc.
  • General knowledge of, or experience working in, the industrial construction industry.
Physical Demands

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi-limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.

Work Environment

Will work in a general office environment, capable of operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less.
