The luxurious St. Anthony Hotel is looking for Houseperson to add to our stellar Banquets team! Banquet Housepersons will set up and breakdown Banquet functions and serve food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to our high standards of quality. Banquet Houseperson is a tipped position.

SEEKING FULL TIME, & ON CALL

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
  • Set up Banquet rooms with equipment for functions according to contracts received from the Event Management Department. Ensure that all function rooms are set as required in a timely fashion.
  • Clean all function rooms and adjacent public areas including, but not exclusive to, vacuuming, dusting, shampooing of carpets, cleaning mirrors, organizing closets, clean marble countertops, etc.
  • Provide any additional banquet equipment: tables, chairs, trash cans, pads, pens, pencils, etc. for function rooms for set-ups required by the clients.
  • Retrieve materials, props, crates, boxes, etc. from security and store them safely and properly ensuring to log them where appropriate.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of all storage rooms.
  • Keep linen regularly stocked and to take dirty linen, napkins separate on a clear trash bag to the laundry area. Ensure that linen par stock is maintained. Bring dirty linens to laundry daily.
  • Hang skirts properly, set-up and skirt risers, tables, etc. when needed.
  • Ensure that meeting rooms are refreshed during each break making sure that at lunch time room gets a complete refresh (all cleaned glasses, arrange all chairs, refresh waters).
  • Ensure that storage rooms are maintained clean & in orderly fashion.
  • Ensure that rooms are completely clean and in order after each function to be ready for the next event.
  • Log receipt of all packages and materials and to ensure that they are delivered to the proper room on the date and time required.
  • Ensure that the Banquet Floor is checked daily for Banquet equipment to be returned to the storeroom.
  • Uphold the grooming policy in the Employee Manual and provide a positive role model to the other Associates.
  • Attend and participate in all Mandatory Departmental Meetings.
  • Respond to property safety situations as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Move room partitions safely. Remove all tables, easels and stands when events end if not needed.
  • Support the service, kitchen as well as Stewarding Department as needed (banquet manager to explain task), such as plating up entrees, removing dirty glassware, and cleaning up Library and Peacock Alley after the reception ends.
