Breakfast Attendant at MCR Hotels

Location: San Antonio Downtown Springhill

Overview

The MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well‑organized and safe hotels for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile.
  • Use the guests’ names whenever possible, ensuring they feel properly welcomed.
  • Contribute to great guest satisfaction scores with teamwork and outstanding service.
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of all hotel features and amenities.
  • Support all hotel events and groups as needed.
  • Utilize relevant technology appropriate to the role.
  • Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting.
  • Maintain spotless cleanliness by keeping all front and back‑of‑house areas clean and well‑organized.
  • Pitch in as a team to clean guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring the hotel remains well‑organized and safe.
  • Greet guests happily by name while cleaning, ensuring a courteous experience.
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time.
  • Prepare accurate handover reports for effective shift-to-shift communication.
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well‑groomed, wear a nametag, and smile at all times.
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members.
  • Adopt a “can‑do” attitude and will to stretch beyond traditional role needs.
  • Collaborate at all levels to create a welcoming environment and a positive workplace.
Breakfast Attendant – Role

Specific Duties
  • Manicure breakfast room tables: clear and sanitize after each guest departure and prepare for the next arrival.
  • Set up the breakfast buffet each morning according to specified requirements or brand directive.
  • Clean the kitchen in accordance with the daily checklist upon breakfast period completion.
  • Follow all food safety measures daily per local health codes and approved breakfast standards.
  • Maintain the buffet area well‑stocked and clean until the end of the breakfast period.
Success Metrics
  • Happy Guests – Management performance ratings, guest satisfaction scores and intent to return.
  • Spotless Cleanliness – GM/AGM spot checks, leadership walk‑throughs, guest ratings/reviews.
  • Product Consistency & Quality – Checklist tracking, management performance ratings, guest ratings.
  • Teamwork – Management performance ratings.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience in hospitality, service, consumer‑facing franchise or related field preferred.
  • Positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
  • Works well in stressful, high‑pressure situations.
  • Effective listening, conflict resolution and communication skills.
  • Desire to serve all guests.
  • Age requirement: 18 years or older.
  • Willing to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Arrive on time for each shift, clock in/out correctly and never work while off‑the‑clock.
  • Clock in/out for breaks at designated times.
  • Provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift as directed by supervisor.
Physical Working Demands & Working Environment
  • Stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods (3‑4 hours at a time).
  • Type on and operate computers and other office machinery, do 10‑key operation and data entry, dial a telephone, handle tools and controls.
  • Bend, stoop, crouch, lift and transport food and beverage boxes up to 25 lbs.
  • Inspect and visually observe details at close and long range.
Language + Reasoning Skills
  • Read, write, understand and communicate effectively using the English language.
