Housekeeping Houseperson

Responsibilities

• Assists Room Attendant removing soiled linen and trash from carts.
• Strips beds from checkout rooms.
• Delivers supplies and linen to storage areas on floors and to Room Attendants.
• Moves, arranges, dusts furniture and equipment.
• Sorts soiled linens for laundering and stores linen supplies in storage areas.
• Cleans restrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Delivers items to guest rooms and other hotel areas.
• Cleans hallways, fitness center, pool deck lobbies, library, hotel entrances, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, associates break room and locker rooms, guest rooms and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using brooms, mops and powered machines.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner.
• Washes windows, walls, ceiling, door panels, sills and woodwork.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Abides by material safety data sheets regulations when using chemicals.
• Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
• Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
• Takes initiative to greet guests and fellow Associates in a friendly and warm manner.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Effective communication with guests and co-workers.
• Professional presentation and conduct emulating the Hotel Emma Culture.
• Six months related experience.
• Flexible schedule required, including AM/PM, weekends and holidays.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prolonged standing, pushing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restrictions. Schedule reflects business demands with long and unusual hours on occasion.
