Role

The Senior Wedding & Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through the strategic sales, planning, and execution of weddings and social events at the resort. This role serves as the primary point of contact for high‑touch clients, overseeing the full sales cycle from inquiry through contract execution and collaborating closely with operations to ensure seamless event delivery. The ideal candidate is a relationship‑driven, detail‑oriented professional with a strong understanding of luxury or resort‑style events.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively solicit, negotiate, and close wedding and social event business to meet or exceed established revenue goals.
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing customized proposals and site tours.
  • Negotiate contracts, concessions, and terms in accordance with resort guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, booking pace reports, and revenue tracking.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for wedding and social event clients from initial booking through event execution.
  • Coordinate event details including guest counts, menus, floor plans, timelines, and special requests.
  • Ensure a high level of personalized service and relationship management for VIP and repeat clients.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Banquets, Catering, Culinary, Rooms, and other resort departments to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Lead internal event planning meetings and communicate client expectations clearly to operational teams.
  • Be present on‑site for key events as needed to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Act as a senior resource and mentor to Wedding & Event Sales Managers or Coordinators.
  • Assist with training, best practices, and process improvement within the events sales team.
  • Maintain detailed client files, contracts, and event documentation within the sales and event management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with resort policies, brand standards, and legal requirements.
  • Participate in budgeting, goal setting, and annual business planning.
  • Support leadership with market insights, competitive analysis, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in wedding, catering, or event sales, preferably within a resort or luxury hotel environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess situations, draw logical conclusions, and make sound recommendations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in sales and event management systems.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
  • Passion for weddings, social events, and elevated guest experiences.
  • Professional presence with a service‑oriented mindset.
  • Ability to build long‑term client relationships and generate repeat business.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
