Job DescriptionAssist in managing and directing all Housekeeping and Laundry functions; participate in quality assurance and cost control; support the Executive Housekeeper in all areas of the operation; ensure Omni and Forbes standards are met and consistently represented.
Responsibilities- Provide courteous, personalized, attentive, sincere and consistent Guest Service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests and complaints.
- Resolve difficult or unusual problems arising with guests while maintaining good relationships and demonstrating outstanding hospitality through corrective action.
- Ensure all Forbes Housekeeping standards are implemented and met.
- Maintain open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service.
- Identify ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of guest service by actively participating in the Omni Service Tradition program.
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper with departmental functions: opening and PM shift, maintaining turnover, uniform control, purchasing, guest requests, monthly meetings, quality assurance in public spaces and guest rooms, linen and supply inventories, scheduling, Kronos and payroll cost controls.
- Monitor Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate levels are maintained.
- Maintain close communication and interaction with Front Desk and Engineering departments, reporting all maintenance issues.
- Inspect the cleaning and servicing of all guestrooms, and inspect all vacant rooms daily.
- Prepare and complete all required reports (VIPs, Due‑Outs V/D’s, etc.).
- Identify all cleaning defects and reassign them to the responsible Guest Room Attendants; complete a full inspection form for each GRA and forward to the Executive Housekeeper daily.
- Oversee the Housepersons, ensuring they work appropriately with GRAs and complete all daily duties/special projects.
- Oversee the Laundry Department and all of its functions.
- Participate in energy conservation efforts.
- Respect hotel property and work areas by keeping them clean, well maintained, stocked and properly stored.
- Eliminate waste of supplies.
- Assist in maintaining Omni standards of cleanliness and a consistent guestroom/guest experience.
- Assist in maintaining a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence in service and cleanliness.
- Be willing to assist in other hotel areas, including Front Office and Guest Services.
- Prior housekeeping supervisory experience in hospitality.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Highly motivated, able to multitask and work independently.
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
