Job Details- Compensation: Hourly base pay $8–$11 per hour plus $13–$15 per hour in tips.
- Work Schedule: Dependent on hotel business volumes; to be discussed during interview.
- Benefits: Eligible for accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits and a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment and hours worked; seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible.
The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving vehicles safely and assisting guests with luggage and other needs during arrival and departure.
Essential Functions- Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers and clients; greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly manner. (25%)
- Use salutation of the day, welcome guests and practice proper phone etiquette; post up in designated areas when not completing tasks. (10%)
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. (20%)
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities; delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations. (10%)
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys; completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt; calculates revenue when needed. (35%)
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Licensure / Certification: Valid driver’s license for the state of employment (or commutable).
- Work Experience: One month related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Skills:
- Read and write standard English.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondences and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Perform basic arithmetic with money and handle manual transmission (highly desirable).
- Execute parallel parking and understand 24‑hour and military time.
- Operate located tools; balance, climb stairs, and handle physical demands of the role.
- Regularly required to talk or hear, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands, climb stairs, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, or up to 20 pounds constantly.
- Work outdoors for extended periods; subject to extreme heat and cold weather.
- Travel up to 5% may be required.
