PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) – FULL TIME

We are hiring immediately for a full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) position at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital Alamo Heights, 403 Treeline Park, San Antonio, TX 78209. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule:

Full time;
Days and hours may vary (AM and PM shifts). Pay: $15.00 per hour.

• Help patients understand their menu selections and collaborate with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and the culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, cultural/ethnic/religious preferences, or additional selections.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Follow regulator agency standards (federal, state, JCAHO) and HIPAA policies; maintain patient confidentiality and rights.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down the tray line.
• Comply with facility infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians as needed, including monitoring patients on liquid diets or with specific calorie counts.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Complete required daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver/push food delivery carts.
