Job Summary and QualificationsSeeking a Vice President of Women Services provides strategic leadership for Methodist Healthcare System service line strategic and functional leadership to support the service line growth initiatives, ensure physician engagement, continued recruitment, financial analysis, clinical program development, clinical excellence, capital planning and identification and development of best practices. This key leader represents Methodist Healthcare System (MHS) to both internal and external customers.
The Div. VP Service Lines is responsible for implementing and expanding service line structure that aligns with the System Mission, Goals, and Strategies to improve quality, service and growth. The DVP Service Lines will work collaboratively with physicians and system leaders to develop and execute an aligned Service Line Strategic Plan, and with the VP of Marketing to coordinate marketing efforts for MHS Service Lines.
Job Functions
- Supports Division VP of Service lines in formulating strategic direction for Service Lines across Methodist Healthcare system, by participating in developing and implementing business plans to support the continued growth, financial and clinical outcome success of the system
- Service Line Structure & Governance:
Supports Division service line structure needed to achieve growth targets in collaboration with Facility and Division leadership teams - Implementation of Division/Market/Facility Service Line Governance inclusive of Physician and Administrative leaders
- Networks with Corporate and other Division Service Line Leaders to share best practices and opportunities
- Collaborates with Corporate and Division multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Strategic Planning & Growth Insights:
Supports service line aspects of annual Market Strategic Planning and Division Mid-Year & Business Planning to ensure comprehensive multi-year service line plans in place and being executed upon - Develops Service Line Growth Insights for designated service lines to share with Facility Leadership teams at least annually
- Performs development/distribution of consistent monthly and quarterly service line reporting for Division and Facility Leadership
- Program Growth & Development:
Supports assessment, identification and prioritization of existing program optimization and new program development opportunities - Assessment, identification and prioritization of existing program clinical performance improvement
- Leads implementation and project management for identified program development objectives
- Collaborates with Corporate Service Line, Health Trust and industry partners to bring innovative advancements to San Antonio Division Facilities and programs
- Identifies and supports financial resiliency initiatives such as supply expense management
- Develops research opportunities in designated service lines
- Oversees designated service line navigation programs (e.g., Care Assure)
- Physician Development:
Collaborates with PSG, PPR and Facility Leadership teams on strategic physician recruitment and onboarding - Identifies and develops physician leadership in designated service lines including development of dyad physician leaders, as appropriate
- Creates opportunities for physician collaboration across markets
- Identifies physicians to represent San Antonio Division on key enterprise-wide initiatives, councils and working groups
- Bachelor7s Degree in health administration, business, or related field of study required.
- Master7s Degree in business administration or healthcare administration preferred.
- Experience:
Five (5) years of demonstrated experience leading business development, operations management, and/or financial/strategic planning for a clinical or program of service line.
- A minimum of 5 years clinical experience is a decided plus, with 3 additional years in program development.
- Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
