Receptionist/Optometric Tech Job San Antonio area,Texas USA,Healthcare

W.E.Care Optometry is seeking a reliable front desk/optometric technician/assistant. Experience is a plus but not required. Spanish speaking skills are also a plus.

We operate in four locations: three are open Tuesday through Saturday, and one is open Monday through Saturday. Hours are generally from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Attributes of the ideal candidate:

Team player with excellent customer relation skills

Professional and friendly with staff and patients

Mature, reliable, and composed

Excellent written, oral, and telephone communication skills

Strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills

Proficient with computer applications

Experience explaining vision plan benefits and filing insurance claims

Willing to work on Saturdays

Previous experience in an optometry practice is a plus

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Checking in and out patients

Overseeing patient flow

Verifying vision and medical insurance benefits

Processing payments

Working efficiently with or without supervision

Communicating with doctors, staff, and patients

Scheduling and confirming appointments

Answering phones and attending to patient needs

Handling patient concerns effectively

Maintaining a clean and organized front office
