Responsibilities- Process patient referrals for the practices in the market and facilitate orders to outside facilities.
- Coordinate scheduling of office visits for referred patients and assist patients with finding resources that accept their various insurances.
- Obtain pre-authorization from payers as needed.
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain approvals for medications that may have been denied due to formulary changes.
Medical office position responsible for all referrals for the medical offices in the market.
Education and Experience- Education —
Required:
High school diploma/GED. Preferred:
Completion of a medical assisting or medical office assistant program. - Experience —
Required:
Must have a minimum of four years of experience working in a medical office setting.
- Preferred:
Healthcare management/administration or Medical Assistant certification
