The Psychology Administrative Supervisor performs moderately complex (journey-level) administrative and supervisory program work.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising multiple psychology department personnel across thirteen facility units; coordinating with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to ensure person-centered recovery plans are addressed, documented, and updated.
- Managing onboarding for all new Psychology Department staff; providing support to schedule and track psychological assessment instrument needs.
- Working under general supervision of the Director of Psychology with limited latitude for initiative and independent judgment; providing advanced administrative support to the Director of Psychology.
- Participating in disaster response and Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation as needed, which may require alternate shifts or locations.
- Supervise psychology department personnel; support data collection for person-centered recovery plans, milestones, and goals; conduct onboarding, training, and performance management of direct reports.
- Coordinate with HHS HR and General Counsel on corrective and/or disciplinary actions; develop advanced administrative guidelines for support staff including calendar management, tracking assessments, and department expenditures.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Governing Body, Mock Survey Team, and committees; ensure alignment with the department’s vision and mission.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain and update person-centered recovery plans; analyze data related to clinical programming and recovery plans; audit and update policies for accuracy.
- Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs to deliver consistent services; standardize treatment modalities and procedures for new employees serving diverse patient populations; ensure compliance and provide training as needed.
- Oversee onboarding, scheduling, and instrument needs for department staff; manage travel and reimbursement; track departmental budget and prepare educational materials for staff.
- Identify workflow problems and implement policy solutions; manage FLSA overtime; review processes for improvements and provide training as needed.
- Provide back-up support for vacancies, leaves, and ad hoc absences; conduct compliance audits and investigations related to Joint Commission standards; support quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Falls Committee and Quality Management Audits to reduce patient injuries and improve guidelines; contribute to suicide, restraint, and seclusion reduction efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including disaster response participation with potential schedule/location changes.
Skills And Abilities
(KSAs)
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws related to Personal Health Information; basic math, budgeting, and program management.
- Skill in identifying performance measures, using computer software, and data analysis.
- Ability to gather, analyze facts; establish goals; solve administrative problems; develop and interpret policies; supervise others.
