Overview
Timberwood Park Area, San Antonio, TX 78260
$17/hour | Part-time
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM (15 hours/week) – Additional hours may be available. This is an in-home caregiver role for an 18-year-old client with disabilities in the Stone Oak area. The position offers consistent weekday evening hours and an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a young adult’s life.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding support as needed
- Provide companionship and age-appropriate engagement activities
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition to family and care coordinator
- Support the client’s independence while ensuring safety
- Patient, positive attitude with genuine interest in working with young adults with disabilities
- Reliable transportation and ability to commit to consistent Monday–Friday evening schedule
- Experience with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, or adaptive care preferred
- Strong communication skills with both the client and family members
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or GED
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
