Location:

Terrell Hills, TX / 1604 Bandera Rd

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay: $15 for CNA and $14 for Non-licensed

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled caregiver to provide support and care for an individual in the Terrell Hills area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, including but not limited to:

Responsibilities
  • Obtain, record, and report vital signs and notify the office of deviations according to standard practice.
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance (bathing, grooming, dressing, hair care, shaving, deodorant application, skin care with lotions/powder, foot care, and ear care). Q-tips are not to be used.
  • Support nail care and oral hygiene to facilitate treatment or prevent deterioration (nail cutting or filing will NOT be done).
  • Change bed linens and make the bed.
  • Assist with eating and maintaining adequate nutrition and fluid intake when appropriate.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfers (toilet/commode, bedpans, elimination needs, getting in and out of bed, and other transfers and positional needs as appropriate).
  • Provide incidental household services essential to patient health care (e.g., light housekeeping, straightening room, laundry).
  • Give medication reminders as needed.
  • Understand and apply basic infection control principles and procedures; contact the supervisor with any infection control concerns.
  • Follow the Plan of Care (Instruction Sheet) as instructed by the Agency's health care professional.
  • Document appropriately according to the Plan of Care and submit all documentation per agency policy.
  • Observe physical and gross behavioral changes in the patient's condition or family situation and report to the office.
  • Follow the visit schedule and indicate changes as appropriate.
  • Promptly contact patients and the office when unable to visit as scheduled and provide a full report concerning patient care, visit times, etc.
  • Communicate appropriately with patient/family and Agency personnel.
  • Attend required in-services and meetings as identified by the Agency (must have 12 hours of in-service per year).
  • Adhere to the Agency's Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities as indicated.
