Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting with coordination of referrals, authorization, scheduling of patients and record keeping.

• Triage patient inquiries and physician referral calls to coordinate intake of new patients; complete new patient pre-registration and scheduling.
• Complete clinical assessments based on a phone interview with patient, family members or patient's physician; provide educational information.
• Obtain patient records and full demographic data; enter the information into the computer for pre-registration.
• Update and relay information to patients or physicians about clinical activity.
• Maintain the schedule for residents and faculty.
• Assemble records for chart audit.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system while providing excellent service.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
• Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality and adherence to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
• Five (5) years experience in patient care setting is required.
