Position: Scheduler-Intermediate (MSRH Imaging)

The Radiology Outbound Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling advanced imaging procedures for patients within the MSRH Imaging Department. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service, accuracy in scheduling, and a commitment to supporting the mission and vision of MSRH and UT Imaging Centers.

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 10am-7pm

Location: MSRH Imaging/UT Imaging Centers

Responsibilities

Interviews patients or patient representatives to obtain and verify demographic and insurance information to initiate the scheduling process.

  • Schedules advanced imaging exams accurately, ensuring appointments are set at dates and times convenient for the patient or patient representative.
  • Processes STAT and URGENT imaging requests immediately and notifies appropriate departments as required.
  • Provides general information regarding imaging tests, clinic locations, preparation instructions, services provided, and directions to all imaging locations.
  • May orient new personnel and assist with their transition to the work environment as assigned.
  • Provides backup support to other departmental associates upon completion of assigned duties or as directed by the supervisor.

Provides backup support/coverage to front desk; may be assigned to log into call center (ACD) when specific clinics are short staffed.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPT codes and ICD-10 coding preferred.
  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.
Education

High school diploma or GED is required.

Required Skills
  • Three (3) years of related experience is required. Clinical experience is preferred.
