The Stylist engages guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services to create a total look. Supports the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager with performance, guest service, and compliance.

• Perform hair services: hair design, cuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin, extensions, makeup, ear piercing (if applicable).
• Meet or exceed sales goal of $800 average weekly sales and productivity goals for hair services; contribute to store retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Demonstrate business acumen and identify growth opportunities.
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales.
• Support in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Maintain high customer service and salon image standards.
• Serve walk‑in guests timely and efficiently.
• Partner with skin therapists and retail team for a total‑store experience.
• Build professional peer and brand partner relationships.
• Promote the loyalty program, credit, and Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings.

• Know and comply with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection‑control procedures and state board guidelines.
• Follow service protocols for consistent guest experience.
• Use booking and clientele systems for return services and events.
• Communicate supply needs to EM.
• Maintain store operational standards: salon, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, break area.
• Adhere to dress code and loss‑prevention practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• Cosmetology license

• Previous relevant salon experience preferred.

• Proficiency in salon techniques: haircutting, color, styling, treatment, extensions, makeup, ear piercing where applicable; ability to develop skills.
• Proficiency with equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to demonstrate and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Strong communication skills.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Frequent mobility and lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, crouching.
• Ability to stand long periods.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
